A great place to work! - Pharmacy Technician OnePoint Patient Care Employee Review

Pros

I felt compelled to write a review after seeing some negative reviews that did not at all reflect my experience at OnePoint. Specifically, I absolutely felt as though I was valued as an employee at OnePoint, from my first day as a technician. Not just in the way that I got along so well with my coworkers and pharmacy managers but also in that the company really was generous with all of us, even us lowly technicians. I had worked there only about 4 months when all the other techs and I were rewarded with a bonus cash card because the company had a successful quarter. I've never worked at a place that would just hand out bonuses to all the staff that way before. And the pharmacy managers were so flexible with my schedule - I really felt like it wasn't a big deal if I needed to change my schedule around or switch shifts with other techs. I left my job there for no other reason than to go back to school! OnePoint is a great place to work, no doubt about it.

Cons

I know what I signed up for with a technician job, it can become monotonous. But I really don't have any cons when it comes to the general work environment or culture at OPPC. I had a really positive experience there.

Pros

Meaningful work supporting hospice patients with compassionate, urgent care. Opportunity to make a real difference in end-of-life comfort and symptom management. Some dedicated colleagues who care deeply about patients.

Cons

Extremely high leadership turnover: 3 different Pharmacists-in-Charge in the last 6–8 months, leading to constant shifts in expectations, inconsistent enforcement of policies, and added daily stress. Shared-facility setup with another brand creates workflow inefficiencies (e.g., overcrowded storage increasing error risk) and frequent escalations of minor, quickly resolved discrepancies that are disproportionate to the actual risk. Cultural and operational mismatch between brands results in territorial dynamics and unnecessary tension. Overall environment feels unstable and high-stress, with limited flexibility for patient-priority tasks.
