Pros

front end staff, medical assistants and providers are AMAZING

Cons

Even though I worked there for a short time, I strongly advise against it. First, the manager who hired me was dismissed within two or three weeks of my start at the clinic. To make matters worse, I was only given ten minutes to draw each patient’s labs, disregarding the possibility of fainting or passing out. Additionally, we had to manage walk-in nutrient injections, such as B12, within the same limited timeframe. One patient, a former ER nurse, had an appointment with the nutritionist before seeing me in the lab. She complained about waiting over an hour for her labs while fasting. I explained that the patient before her had been a “hard stick,” which is a patient who resists drawing blood. She responded in a condescending manner, saying, “Oh, you’ll eventually get it. It just takes practice,” and then proceeded to berate me in front of a medical assistant extern who was shadowing me. She made remarks like, “They used to send me all over the hospital to start IVs and things like that.” Surprisingly, after I drew her blood, she actually complimented me, saying, “That was really good.”
