Pros
Company is rich in history and has a great reputation in the trucking and travel industry. When I was employed there, the company was going through a lot of growth iniatives focused on improving guest relations, whether that was outside guests (customers) or internal guests (employees).
Cons
In the North East portion of the USA, Pilot Travel Centers are not a destination or aspiration to work at. As such, much of the talent we were pulling from was lucky to be from the bottom of the barrel. Finding anyone to work at our locations involved mainly the "mirror" test (if you are unfamiliar, hold a mirror up to their face, if it fogs up, they are breathing and are hirable).
Very long hours, unsafe working environments (the center I worked at had no real structure in place when I took it over and had some very questionable activities that were allowed to happen)
Be prepared to deal with some very colorful language, and be prepared to embrace the 'good ol boy" lifestyle as a lot of the guests (both internal and external) have that mentality
