Pros
Supportive culture on the surface. Fun quarterly awards and employee recognition that make you feel valued — temporarily. I received three awards within two months before being laid off, which shows I was contributing meaningfully. Benefits were decent and the company presented a strong sense of team — at least in the beginning.
Cons
The environment became increasingly cliquey, and it felt like popularity was valued more than performance. Despite the “team” messaging, loyalty doesn’t run both ways. I was laid off two weeks before Christmas with no real warning or support. As a single mom, that hit hard. It left me questioning how much of the appreciation was real.
