Pros

Very professional and supportive company. Driven by quality to ensure that the clients and staff have a fantastic experience whilst they are with One to One. Management on every level in every department are approachable. Management also very visible and often are out there supporting the clients to ensure that the care standards are met. Runs are economically designed monthly so that care staff can have a months worth of rotas at a time. Built for walkers and drivers to ensure that staff aren’t late for calls. 5 levels of pay depending on what type of service you’re working in which is overall very competitive with other care companies. Paid travel time paid between calls for walkers and drivers. Allocated breaks per shift. Very consistent for clients overall. Very good company to work for.

Cons

There aren’t any that I can think of.

Pros

The people you work with, you make good bonds and we all motivate each other.

Cons

Management can be difficult to get a long with and constantly on edge, pay scales are poor and not based fairly. Management get better opportunities than regular staff, it’s not based on people’s performances. Communication isn’t portrayed fairly. Meetings never go ahead for months and you are without support.

Pros

It states here that I must share the best reasons to work for one to one support services, however I cannot find one single reason why I would advise anybody to work with this company. Absolute exploitation of not only staff, but clients too! Absolutely no person centred approach when organising the clients care, one manager even threatened a clients daughter, telling the daughter 'lets go outside this is just a uniform I can take it off', after the client had only asked for her call to be moved to a more appropriate time for her. You will find yourself as a 'walker' walking sometimes upto 50 minutes between calls and you will only be allocated 10 minutes to get there (and that's if you are lucky) meaning you will almost always be late to every single client, and do any of the managers or person on call inform the clients? Nope, they do not! These are just some of the terrible things I and other members of staff experienced whilst working at this company, oh and be prepared for 16 hour shifts back to back because even though you are on a zero hours contract you are told you HAVE to work you do not get a choice in the matter (even when chronically exhausted from too much work). You get absolutely no support whatsoever from anyone who works in the office. All that matters to the boss is that the calls are done so she gets paid for them, so don't be surprised when you are administering AM (7-8:00) medications at gone mid-day, that is a daily occurrence with this company. I would not let my worst enemy work for them, they drive people into the ground. P.s they still owe me almost £1500 in unlawfully unpaid wages. STAY WELL CLEAR OF ONE TO ONE SUPPORT SERVICES!!

Cons

Working for them to begin with.
