- Pays well - Easy to move up - Plenty of time off (if requested in advance)
Cons
- Unless you know someone, expect to be kicked to the curb at their earliest convenience - Very little professionalism (people showing up hungover, sexual comments, sexism) - HR is does not exist here - Horrible work load, the industry (logistics) itself is bad enough - Horrible hours, you’re expected to work your 35-40 hours a week, and on call on top of that (during busy season you get calls until about 11pm-1am) phones never turn off - Little to no holidays off (worked nearly every major holiday and weekend) - If you’re not “involved” with the owner, then you will work there for less than a year - If you get “involved” with the owner, you will be worked like a dog
