Pros

- Working for a larger cause - Potentially working with great, kind, and understanding people. The majority of people at this company are friendly and easy to get along with. - Good benefits including free hair products - Flexible work schedule

Cons

- Hierarchical structure: management is dismissive and refuses to address concerns from employees - Unclear priorities: what you think you’re going to be doing in a day can completely change with little to no warning - Management style: management can sometimes be condescending and dismissive of employee’s input

Pros

- meaningful work - hybrid work schedule - ergonomic work station The solution OGC offers to students in Kenya is amazing and has a wonderful impact on lives. For many employees, this will be enough to make the job worthwhile. Working in the AG Care building has lots of little perks: gym, snacks, hair products.

Cons

- top-down management - ethical boundaries regularly pushed - changing priorities weekly/daily If you're looking to work for a progressive feminist organization, this isn't it. You will encounter comments and policies that are insensitive and unethical. Management is not overtly racist or malicious, but they seem uninformed on covert racism and dismissive of modern sensitivities. They plan to introduce a D&I program - be sure to ask the status of this in your interview.
