Pros

You get to work remotely.

Cons

Besides the daily IT disturbances and ill-timed advising of application updates that can result in your essential day to day programs closing down in the middle of a call, this job falls incredibly short on the presentation they sell you of working in the best interest of the injured worker. You have a plethora of people who call in, from patient to insurance company, that never have the information they need, but want everything as soon as possible, and OneCall falls short in that regard due to their intake process. They accept quarter of the way-done referrals that trigger calls to patients as if they can schedule with us as soon as they get it, and we end up having to inform them that we can't because were missing vital information that should be required to start the process in the first place. Management is unreliable because, besides most of them not having a clue about the current business and customer assistance tactics needed to help their team, because they change almost daily if not weekly and are not collectively informed themselves, they are virtually never available for team assistance or caller escalations. A lot of people who were trained, left training with the wrong skills for their department or skills that haven't been updated since before they put you on the floor leading you to essentially have to learn everything else brand new on the fly and they still want you to meet goals. Surprise, this corporation only cares about raking in as much money as possible because the previously mentioned complaints are not new, and money is a constant issue raised to colleagues who were simply hired to schedule even when asked to be supplied with tools and requirements that would help us do so. I could mention many other things, but you can find a bunch of them in the other reviews left by employees YEARS before me. I have never left a job each day so drained from the sheer stress of a job from all sides. I will say, I got a better supervisor when I switched teams, but that did not add or subtract to the other failures of this company.

Pros

Throughout the interview process, the leaders at One Call kept talking about their culture and the people that make it so great to work there. I was skeptical since most companies talk a big game but One Call actually delivered! Their culture is unmatched and everyone genuinely cares about one another and the consumer (the patients we serve).

Cons

Sometimes the company operates as the world's oldest start-up company.

Pros

Great co-workers! Most supervisors are open and approachable. Interesting work. If they try, employees can learn a lot about the workers comp industry which can take them many places in their future.

Cons

Some people in management (i.e. supervisors & managers) don't have the personality or ability to be managment. In order to supervise, a person needs to have an open & friendly personality to be able to relate to the staff. Way too much favoritism.
