Pros

Well known UK brand for your CV. Nothing else.

Cons

* CEO speaks more on public forums & events than he does internally to staff * Senior Management have zero communication with the actual workforce * Toxic work culture where fleecing agents out of their hard earned cash is the norm and celebrated * Micro-management to the extent you feel awkward going toilet if it isn’t your lunch break * HR team doesn’t exist - it’s just one lady who is a friend of the CEO and apparently works part time for OnTheMarket yet doesn’t speak to staff * Negative working environment which will make you unhappy * Zero company wide social events, team events or any training * Extremely high turn over of staff which is again considered normal * No career progression or development for staff * Commission structure isn’t signed therefore goal posts are moved constantly * Clear lack of diversity amongst the workforce and senior management

Pros

- Good salary (although this can start to feel like a trap) - Good annual leave - 28 days - Finish (escape) at 5pm

Cons

- A large favouritism culture within the company/ the C-suite, especially the COO/Head of Sales and Marketing, has their favourite and these people are massively prioritised and treated differently to everyone else. - Used to be a lovely company with a brilliant culture, this has died since CoStar takeover and new office - hardly anyone speaks and everyone looks miserable to be there. Sadly most of the personality and culture has been sucked out of the company and the lovely people who work there. - No flexibility (well unless you count 5 wfh days per year). A culture of unless you’re being watched working they don’t trust you to be working. Ultimately reducing people’s enthusiasm and productivity. - They conduct exit interviews as a tick box exercise but I was told during this process that they aren’t seen by anyone in the UK and therefore they don’t ever hear anyone’s honest feedback and no action is taken to improve the experience for those left - Removed bonuses for new hires - Happy to fudge externally facing numbers to prioritise the message they want to get out there, America is happier to deal with the consequences with legal power if they get caught for something not being accurately represented than to represent something honestly.
