Pros
They'll hire nearly anybody but if you pay attention and stay focused you can learn a lot about utilities. It's a good way to get your foot in the door for utility work. All you can eat overtime during the summer. You can make good money in the summer but it's mostly due to working 70-80 hrs/week for months on end.
Cons
Far too much overtime required most of the year, then "partial employment" during the winter. Unrealistic expectations about quality vs. quantity of work.
