Pros

Working at Oller Engineering has provided valuable experience in municipal engineering, infrastructure coordination, and project management. The role has helped strengthen my technical knowledge, client communication, and construction coordination skills while contributing to meaningful public infrastructure improvements. Overall, it has been a positive experience that has helped me continue growing professionally within the engineering and construction industry.

Cons

Workloads can become stressful during deadlines, bid submissions, or active construction phases. Expectations can shift quickly depending on what our client needs are and project changes, which sometimes creates added pressure. There are times that limited resources and limited staff make it hard to taking on additional responsibilities to keep projects moving forward.

Pros

Working at Oller Engineering has been a very wonderful experience. It has allowed me to grow into a Project Manager/Project Engineer role from a Design Engineer role. I have gained real-world field experience and have been trusted to contribute both as a design team member and as a lead for design teams on important projects. I have also been given the opportunity to develop cost estimates (WBS) for new projects, collaborate with leadership on proposals for outstanding clients, and build relationships with new clients. Working for Oller Engineering Inc. has been challenging but extremely rewarding. The opportunities for personal development, leadership growth, and career advancement are excellent. One of the things I appreciate most about Oller Engineering is the level of trust and responsibility given to employees. Leadership genuinely invests in the success of the team and encourages professional growth at every stage of your career. The company creates an environment where hard work is recognized, ideas are valued, and employees are encouraged to take initiative and expand their skill sets. The culture is highly collaborative and supportive, with experienced professionals who are always willing to mentor and help others succeed. The projects are diverse and engaging, which keeps the work interesting and provides continuous opportunities to learn. I have been able to strengthen both my technical engineering abilities and my communication and project management skills through hands-on experience and meaningful responsibilities. Oller Engineering is an excellent place for anyone looking to grow professionally, gain valuable industry experience, and work alongside a talented and motivated team. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given and excited about the future growth ahead with the company.

Cons

While some people may initially overlook Lubbock as a place to live, many who spend time here quickly appreciate its welcoming community and quality of life. Lubbock has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade and offers a unique blend of small-town friendliness with the amenities of a larger city. Residents enjoy highly regarded sporting events, live music venues, excellent dining options, and a wide variety of entertainment opportunities. Additionally, for employees who may prefer a different setting, we also have office locations in Fort Worth and Houston to accommodate a variety of lifestyles and preferences.

Cons

Team is operating at a high capacity due to strong demand, but it creates great opportunities for ownership and growth.
