Low pay rate compared to other hospitals in the area

I enjoy talking with customers and being of service, so I get to do this here. Benefits are good, health, vision and dental, 401k....the works. Vacation time, depending on department you face black out dates (when you won't be allowed to take vacation). And length will need approval.

TOXIC workplace, management asks for opinions and thoughts and gets infuriated when provided with feedback. Noticed how other colleagues mistreat clients, the snarky remarks they give them and just rude. No empathy for patients. Multiple complaints from said coworkers and no actual response from management (a tap on the wrist and carry on). Favoritism is obvious. Excessive call offs go unpunished and responsibilities shifted. Don't take initiative unless you want management coming after you for having a good idea on your own. Always accept you are in the wrong because if you "build a case" and prove the error wasn't yours there will be a complaint about you, for "being rude". Heritage Valley take over has made it worse. No effective/clear communication to employees. Everyone feels like they're being left out. I make sure to just go in, do my job and go home.
