Pros

Had talented, hardworking people there.

Cons

No leadership and the SAAS was always behind schedule making it impossible to sell. They have since cleaned house and are starting over. Hopefully they turn things around.

Thank you for your feedback. We have undergone some leadership changes, and happy to report those talented hard working team members are still here, many of which are on the leadership team now. About a year ago, we transitioned from being a service-focused company to SAAS-focused. In doing so, we evolved our product roadmap, shipped new features weekly, and have since grown our business 10X (which is a strong testament to our product team, our sales and marketing teams, and operations too!).

Pros

You have the ability to make a direct impact here. The team mentality is one of fast iteration and the focus on delivering tangible value to the customer is kept front and center. The environment rewards collaboration, growth, and empathy with the team and the product users, which means that your coworkers will care about you as much as they care about building a great product! This is a great place to grow your skills in product execution within a tight-knit team.

Cons

The rapid pace of development and focus on customer demand can sometimes lead to changes in product focus. This is a constant battle at any company, but the rapid iteration and speed here amplifies progress in any one direction. The ability to drive product focus and discern true customer need is very important in this environment.

Pros

Everyone here is hardworking, kind, organized, and just a pleasure to work with. My co-workers were curious people who frequently offered up new ideas to consider. Working on these products was a tremendous opportunity to grow my skills across the stack and beyond, from feature development and dev-ops to product management and business analysis. As an engineer, you have a lot of autonomy to make decisions you believe are best for long-term success. Personally I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a better-maintained codebase. The engineers care a lot about maintainability, and have set up truly successful systems that make development and deployment relatively painless. This allowed us to build features very quickly and address any tech debt early. We practiced industry best practices like iterative development cycles, weekly retrospectives, daily code reviews, robust automated testing and deployment pipelines, and helpful documentation.

Cons

As part of a very small product/engineering team, you'll wear many hats and do a lot of product management. If you’re averse to doing other things besides coding all day, it’s probably not the right fit for you.
