Pros

Free lunch and some great people

Cons

Really poor salary, you're micromanaged to an inch of your life by upper management. Prepare to be watched constantly and treated like a child. The sexism is very evident and it comes from the top down. They'll protect staff members because the projects they're working on are more important than the safety of their staff. Horrendous flexibility and famous emails from the top about working 40-60 hours a week if you want to "make" it.

Pros

Wonderful company that care about their employees No weekends unless absolutely necessary. Which is rare. Very competitive pay

Cons

If I have a complaint, it would be that the local office is a bit like a dungeon with fluorescent lighting.

Pros

Life at the Ocuco's Lab Division is a relaxed friendly environment. With one exception, no one has an "I am smarter than you" attitude. It is a multi-national which brings a wealth of diversity where you work daily with folks from the U.S, Canada, Ireland, the UK and many others. Management at the Lab Division's Largo, FL office is very good.

Cons

Since Ocuco purchased CC Systems and rebranded it as the "Lab Division" there began a slow change where there was less value placed on industry experience and experience in general in the software development side of the house. Ocuco prefers hiring new college graduates and are willing to trade decades of industry experience for lower wages and high turnover. Corporate management in Ireland could use some improvement.
