Pros
The benefits and meeting a few nice people to work with.
Cons
1. Pay: Employees still making $10/hr. 2. Long hours/cutting hours/ understaffed. Low pay=high turn over. No matter how great of a job it is (which it is not). It is impossible to keep employees unless you find desperate people. All employees are replaceable to the company. Hours also get cut if there is not enough donors. Managers are expected to work long hours. No OT pay. I've worked 14hr in a day. Don't work the OT. Not worth the stress/ zero appreciation from higher ups or employees. 3. Corporate push on numbers: all about getting more donors/liters. That is all that matters..literally. They don't care about center employees or donors. They care about it only if competitor centers are caring more. Then they'll invest more into donors.
