I've been working at Oceanova since February 2022 and a number of things struck me on day one and stay true today. The people. They are the company's greatest asset. I genuinely like each and every one of my colleagues. I don't think I have had that anywhere else that I have worked. Every one supports and encourages each other and the vibe in the office is positive and happy. Success is celebrated across the board and mistakes, whilst frustrating, are chalked up to experience and treated as a learning point. The blame game is certainly not part of the culture here. The SMT are all approachable, decent people with a real respect for staff , work life balance and everyone's opinions. Colleagues are encouraged to develop and learn, either through informal methods or through formal training and development. Ideas are encouraged. If you have an good idea, you're able to get it going and your projects will be joined up. This is because you're not left to run with it blindly, you're offered the support and expertise of other colleagues to help you succeed. I'm trusted to get on with my job and treated like a grown up. My manager checks in with me on a regular basis to ask if I'm ok and if I need any support, but I am not micro managed. I am able to work from home a couple of days a week. The pay here is at the better end of the range for the type of work we do and salaries are reviewed every year. So, from my point of view, I don't think I'd like to work anywhere else. When there's the odd moan and groan,(as everyone does at work from time to time), I point out how some matters would have been handled where I've worked in the past. And that's actually the bottom line. Anyone who isn't happy working at Oceanova, possibly hasn't worked anywhere else so has little to compare this company with. Finally, Friday night drinks are always good fun.

I can't think anything other than the company develops people so well, too well in some cases, that a few colleagues have left recently for new challenges.
