      Pros

      Since I was hired, my overall experience has been positive and supportive. The HR staff was communicative during my hiring process and checked in as I was acclimating to the new position. My fellow coworkers are supportive and offer help and patience as I learn my new position. I find that the company overall offers a lot of opportunities such as additional training and encouraging volunteering. Personally, I also feel like they take a lot of consideration to the staff's needs. While I don't feel comfortable offering specific examples, I can say that in these current times I feel that they are staying on top of things.

      Cons

      My prior work experience had me working with smaller companies so it was a huge change for me to enter an ever growing company. I was used to working with a close knit staff. It was intimidating at first as I was worried I would get lost in a sea of people. However, I have found that every interaction I've had so far with other departments has been personable and encouraging, making my transition a lot smoother.

      Pros

      The orientation process at OceanFirst Bank was exceptionally well executed. It created a welcoming, non-intimidating environment where interns were introduced to the company’s culture and daily operations. Senior leaders—including the CEO, treasurer, and other top executives—took the time to speak about their roles and their contributions to fostering that culture. Interns were also given valuable opportunities to network and connect with one another. Overall, the experience was both engaging and highly enjoyable.
