Pros

Good products. Some good co-workers. Nice discounts. Good work/life balance.

Cons

Where to begin? Outdated systems. No Afterpay/ZIP Pay, etc. Quintessential Ivory-Tower upper management. Too much focus on unreliable statistics. Hard to get in touch with when something serious needs to be done. Utter lack of in-store security at my store. Stock loosely stored in drawers on shop floor. (Not confidential, customers are present when we fetch stock from the drawers) Employees from other stores allowed to relax in stock room, unsupervised. **Multiple other issues that would be considered confidential that I will withhold** Toxic culture with bullying and gossiping perpetuated by area management and clique. Raising an issue over this inevitably resulted in things getting worse. Warranty/Repairs department extremely slow and ineffective. Need to be constantly followed up to ensure they are doing their job.

Pros

Amazing team and great employee discount. This is a brand with an amazing history and a coolness factor. There is a great collaborative culture and you do learn valuable sales techniques which you can carry on to any other job.

Cons

Extremely poor hourly rate. 13-18 per hour, with no commissions, and there is a big preference for hiring external management rather than promoting sales people. When business is slow, you are asked to leave early, severely impacting your livelihood. I would only recommend this if you are desperate for a job, and will take anything.
