Lacks Expertise. Oyo is one such company which is just plain lucky. They are a collection of youngsters mainly from IITs, IIMs and techy backgrounds but they have a serious lack of empathy and do not employ Hospitality professionals. They get shaky when they encounter experienced Hospitality professionals and insist on recruiting freshers who are of a lesser age than the recruiters themselves. As they are from Technological backgrounds they make sure that no one senior of age gets recruited as it unnerves them. Work pressure is too much with no family or social life. They may tell you to leave at the drop of a hat and just be ready for the next downsizing. Most of the Hotel owners are annoyed at the type of clientele that OYO Hotels gets and are withdrawing properties just within a few months of operations as the guests are usually unmarried couples who come in for a quickie. This spoils the reputation of the Hotel in the long run and if the owner wises to restart his business without the OYO umbrella he gets the shabby business returning to his property. Most of the Hotel owners are on the verge of asking for their property back from OYO.
