Pros

Externally a very "cool" company to work for. Abundance of product, quarterly stipends, the low to medium level employees are incredible people, its surface level fun.

Cons

OSEA is currently built on one woman bullying the entire staff with no repercussion. People within this company in director level roles have never had jobs before but nepotism and friendship brought them there. There is no proven amount of loyalty you can show without blood to move up in a healthy way at this company.

Pros

Great company. Fantastic environment, everyone is friendly and helpful. No micromanagement, you're expected to do your job and evaluated against results.

Cons

Working as a freelance you don't get the same perks as an employee.

Pros

The brand itself has strong recognition in the clean beauty industry. Some coworkers are talented and hardworking despite the environment. The products and mission around skincare and sustainability are appealing on the surface.

Cons

One of the most toxic environments I’ve worked in. Upper leadership is mostly made up of people who’ve never worked anywhere else and lack the experience needed to be in the positions they hold. There is little respect for employees, and teams are often made aware of product launches only 3–5 months out with little structure or planning. Leadership does not promote following industry best practices, making it difficult to execute work effectively. If you go against the CEO/founder’s daughter, you will likely be pushed out of the company. The organization frequently plays the blame game, employees receive little to no support, and the CEO is heavily involved but not held accountable for following processes or timelines. Many in leadership enable this behavior. Despite sustainability being promoted as a core pillar of the company, leadership simultaneously pushes heavy reliance on AI and encourages all teams to adopt it broadly, which feels misaligned with the company’s stated environmental values. The CEO also displays bullying behavior, turnover is extremely high, and employees are given little to no voice or ability to share opinions. There is absolutely no work-life balance, and people are known to be pushed out of the company on a whim. Overall, the company is extremely disorganized and dysfunctional, making it very difficult to do your job effectively.
