Pros

They have some great people who work here and the benefits package is decent. This is where it stops

Cons

Working at OSB feels highly robotic. Conformity is rewarded, while individuality and challenge are discouraged. If you are willing to keep your head down and not question the status quo, you may well enjoy a long career here. Promotion does not necessarily come with fair financial recognition. As an employee, I felt undervalued and subjected to constant scrutiny, only to be offered £1000 on top of current salary for double the responsibility. Achieving a top bonus rating appears unrealistic unless you are willing to sacrifice a healthy work–life balance. The organisation puts significant effort into attracting talent, but lacks the structure, capability, and capacity to develop people once they join. Management training is inconsistent, and as a result, strong talent is frequently lost. Overall, OSB has been extremely disappointing. The company consistently overpromises and underdelivers. The image presented on LinkedIn around diversity, career progression, and development feels like a façade. Behind the scenes, there is a lack of clear direction, and expensive modernisation efforts appear poorly executed and financially draining. The organisation feels as though it is declining rapidly, and unless meaningful change is made, it risks losing even more capable people.

Pros

Pay is quite good, though too many people are paid lower and deserve more. Good colleagues Good bonus opportunities Free fruit

Cons

Management and Senior management stick together and attribute blame on other people. Too many manual workarounds. Outdated IT systems, with regular issues.
