Pros
Colleagues are friendly and generally a supportive group of co-workers. Many smart people to work with. General respect for work like balance.
Cons
The relationship with the Tokyo CEO and Tokyo departments is very strained. The stereotypical Japanese Corporate bureaucracy is very present in the US operations - committee upon committee - which stymies any entrepreneurial spirit. The overall company goals are not shared and even less clear in the US so teams just do not know which way to go. Turnover has been extremely high at the senior and mid level ranks the last 24 months - and many seem to have left due to the unclear direction and commitment to the US business.
