Worst Job I've Ever Had - Sales OPSWAT Employee Review

Pros

None that literally any other company can't offer you. Unless you like kale chips and awkward happy hours.

Cons

Where to begin? I worked at OPSWAT for a year and can truly say I learned absolutely nothing, didn't further my career in any way, or really make that many valuable connections. The whole sales org is poorly structured, in the sense there is little to no structure at all. The dictatorship you keep reading about in other reviews is spot on. I've never seen or heard of so many people quitting or getting fired in the short amount of time that I worked there. Im talking about entire departments getting fired bc upper management doesn't agree with them. Once you're settled in and finished with your 1 day of training (I can only speak for sales on this but you get no training on the complex products they sell so you better come in with prior knowledge or you'll be lost) you'll feel like you're walking on eggshells for the duration of your employment there. Company culture is awkward and whatever upper management says goes. It's just such a toxic work environment that I cannot stress enough to please work literally anywhere else. Clean the sewers, work in a coal mine, or on an oil rig in the middle of nowhere bc any of those options will be better for you. For the love of God, please listen to these reviews and pick a different company to work for.

Pros

In my 8 months of interning at OPSWAT, the work culture stood out like no other. From the first day I was greeted and welcomed by several people around the office. I always looked forward to team/office lunches and playing ping pong with my peers. I was also able to take on important projects and regularly meet with customers and prospects. Lastly, everyone wants you to succeed, and as an intern everyone is willing to help you grow. I have learned so much throughout my two sessions as a Product Manager Intern. I would recommend this position and OPSWAT to anyone as it is a great place to work.

Cons

I have no cons at all.

Pros

• Dedicated employees who are committed to the company’s success. • Opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work and make a visible impact. • Exposure to a growing cybersecurity company with a global presence. • Employees are trusted with significant responsibility and autonomy.

Cons

• Environment is heavily influenced by the CEO’s leadership style, which may not be a fit for everyone. It can be really intense. • Employees may be reluctant to raise concerns or challenge leaders out of fear. • PTO and holiday benefits are less competitive than those offered by many similarly sized companies. The limited amount of time off can make it challenging for employees to recharge and maintain long-term work-life balance.
