Do not recommend - Legal Assistant/Paralegal OLLIP Employee Review

Literally nothing. Terrible place to work

I worked here for not even a month and after my employment I was harassed via threatening emails by the senior lawyer along with his employment lawyer because he wasn’t happy with his staff leaving honest negative reviews about the abysmal work conditions. Laughably unprofessional people. I would not wish working with here on my worst enemy. Very glad to not work here anymore.

Fast paced working environment in which you will constantly have something to do and the ability to learn the trademark process well.

The management is incredibly unprofessional. The expectations on staff who are earning far below market value is absurd. Management will constantly berate staff; not afraid to yell at staff. There are no means of reporting this behaviour. The pay is terrible and the only area they really work in is trademarks. They do not care about staff retention and believe they would be better off without staff rather than properly training them. No one lasts long here. Even if you’re looking for experience after school I would recommend waiting to go elsewhere, it is not worth it in an environment like this. They treat staff poorly and then talk poorly about them when they decide to leave, they will talk poorly about staff to other staff members. The way they come across in the interview versus how it is when you work there is vastly different. If you’re looking for a job, go elsewhere.
