Cons

1. Ineffective leadership and management: - It's interesting that the design team manager has less work experience than the team. And their job is solely to listen to and agree with the higher-level stakeholders. This demonstrates a top-down management approach that stifles collaboration and employee engagement. 2. Absence of user research and data-driven decision-making: - Design reviews are based on subjective opinions and are not supported by user research and data. - Managers like to spend more time discussing small matters of less value. They focus entirely on how "beautiful" the user interface looks rather than the product itself. 3. Negative work culture and office policies: - High-level stakeholders promote a team culture of competition and finger-pointing rather than creating a collaborative and supportive environment. They create multiple channels to create and encourage conflict within the team. They form cliques, blame each other, and then emphasize their contributions. - A sad team climate indicates a workplace not conducive to job satisfaction and employee well-being. But if you get honest feedback from the team, this person could be fired tomorrow. A group of people was fired after they tried to share their ideas. 4. Not as international as they claim, but just Chinese culture - If you join OKX, you must ensure that people here speak Mandarin even when meeting with foreigners. They were not respected, and if you could speak English and Mandarin, you would probably be the translator (without pay, oh ya!).

Pros

Great team, Great learning opportunities, great management that that had to work across timezones & cultures

Cons

many of the staff I was in contact with with worked during the Beijing timezone, so overnight work was the main option

Pros

Pay was good. There were a lot of talented people who cared about doing a good job.

Cons

Restructuring was continual. Extremely high turn over. Lack of actually wanting to do the right thing.
