Pros
My overall experience was good since I learned many new things. The inner work environment was enjoyable since I really liked the work I was doing. And thanks to this my work was pleasureable. I loved the team work and customer focused service. Our direct boss/ supervisor David was a nice, humble and very helpful guy. And as far as I know the company fouder also was a humble and decent guy. Just looking at my cons, you should think I wouldn't recommend my friends to work there but I do becasue now the company have a new owner and I hope work enviroment went better.
Cons
Work schedules were not so good. We often had to leave a bit late and there was not help with our transportation, so we had to pay a taxi and the cost of that was around 30-50% of our daily paycheck. Sometimes we had to work extra hours with no payment. The policy was to not let us work extra hours, but in real life theay used to ask you to stay more than 2 extra weekly hours. By law, in Mexico people is supposed to earn double during holidays (X-mas & New Year's eve) but the time i worked there, our payment was the regular one. And the store was supposed to have 7 workers, but 3 of them had resigned and 2 coworkers just decided not to go. So only 2 people: A coworker and me, did all the job of 4-7 people and this was during holidays, but we didn't even got our double paycheck, even less any kind of compensation. The company was supposed to have a beautiful culture and values but sadly some people at medium and senior management didn't get the memo. One of the Senior Managers used to come to our store and shout at us, saying hurtful things like we were useless and easily replaceable, hitting on some girls and humiliate others telling them they were fat and complaining on how they were hired. Sometimes he just came finger snapping and asking girls to make him a sandwich. A really despicable guy who make our life a hell. But I hope he doesn't work there anymore as the whole company was bought in 2013 by a bigger food company. The rotation was very high at that time and is very understandable why.
