Pros
Safety Philosophy is not just talked about but lived each day. People are the most important asset. The support I receive from others with a desire to help is phenomenal. Not micromanaged. Performance Management System is utilized and works.
Cons
Electronic systems are not well integrated causing a lot of wasted effort to achieve a goal. Spending approval levels are excessively low for the responsibility. Top management expresses a strategy of making continuous improvement BUT does not back this up with the necessary funding to remove barriers - i.e. past headcount reduction appears to be etched in stone even though many folks work 30-40% OT; Continuous Improvement Funding not provided as budget line items due to limited capital funding for the site for must haves to operate. Lastly, CEO is excessively compensated - true at many companies today.
