Pros

Easy work, decent hours, pretty good product.

Cons

I was part of the retention office, and was hired as an 'office administrator'. First of all, it is basically a glorified call centre job, as you are calling out to previous clients and trying to get them to schedule a meeting for a re-order. You end up harassing people, calling them every other day and most people get irritated. I was promised $15/hour to start, and DID NOT ever get paid that. I was also told there was benefits after a while in the company, and then after I got hired on was told that there are no benefits except for higher management. I never signed any kind of tax paper work, or contract. I have never seen such an unprofessional way of running a business. I left over a month and a half ago, and still have yet to receive my ROE and vacation pay. Not to mention my supervisor was VERY rude and unprofessional when I left.

Pros

- Pretty good social competency experience, very noticeable changes even after 4 months - Pretty non-competitive. It is the best location in terms of door-to-door sales performance wise, but they hire basically anyone so it doesn't take long to become a top performer.

Cons

- Terrible pay. 20$ an hour with a promise for a fake commission. Commission follows a defecit system, so if you don't meet an unreasonably high quota from the get-go then you can basically assume you will never make any additional commission, only 1 person was at the time I was working there with a team of 8, and it was essentially pennies. The largest issue is unpaid work. Shifts are 4-8 on weekdays and 10-2 on weekends, but there is 25-45 minute drives to the field prior to it and they demand you arrive far earlier than that to make sure you don't miss it. Considering Ottawa's terrible transit system and my fear of missing a shift, I left home 2 hours before the shift started despite the office being close, coming out to 4 hours of unpaid work for each 4 hours of paid work. The managers also put in great effort to scare you and stress you with bad performances, with multiple after-shift 1 on 1 meetings, but almost never actually punish you.
