Pros

The unlimited paid time off

Cons

Upper management has ideas but they have no idea how it works on the street. If you aren’t a brown noser, you are a nobody. There’s no direction. No training. I had to beg for some training. Management will straight out lie to you. Had a “One Nutrabolt” call where Doss flat out told us that there absolutely going to be zero workforce reduction. A week later they had a layoff. Had a national sales convention and they sang our praises. Told us our numbers were great and we were preparing for a big year. Then 2 weeks later had a mass layoff with no reasoning. Only reason was “business has forced us to make the tough decision to get rid of this position”. Then a couple of months later, they hire the same positions. You are nothing but a number here unless you want to bow down to the mighty Hagen. He’s the Nutrabolt god, so better get ready to shine his crown or you will be looking for the unemployment line as well. Long story short, find another company and don’t get sold on the dream that they will sell you. They won’t hold up their end of the bargain.

Free energy drinks and merch.

Cons

This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for. The “best place to work” recognition does not reflect the reality of what many employees experience. During my time in this company the culture is driven by favoritism and a lack of accountability. Leadership roles are often filled by individuals who lack the necessary qualifications, while others are consistently overlooked without clear or honest explanations. Performance and merit are not the deciding factors for advancement. There is a consistent pattern of poor management, little to no training, and zero accountability for bad leadership decisions. Instead of building a professional and supportive environment, the culture rewards fitting a certain image over actual capability. I also observed ongoing inequities in advancement opportunities. Many BIPOC and LGBTQ+ employees were given vague or inconsistent reasons for not progressing within the company, while white employees / white hiring candidates advanced more easily. Over time, these patterns became difficult to ignore. Overall, the environment felt toxic, frustrating, and discouraging. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering working here carefully evaluate whether this is the right fit no matter what role you are applying.
