Pros

Unlimited vacation, relaxed dress code, stocked kitchen.

Cons

I've worked at this company for over a year, and if I could give this place 0 stars I would. You do not get paid enough to do what they ask. This company is the most unprofessional in Boston, if you like to work in an environment surrounded by snakes, management especially, this is the place for you. The management favors you depending on the amount of money you make as a company, they promise you growth in the company, do not fall for that, 9/10 times your 'promotion' is a demotion. They have you chained to a desk from the hours of 9-6 or 10-7, but remember you're so lucky to get that 45 minutes of lunch, and only 24 minutes of break. However, if you are even one minute late, except a message telling you that you have to make up the time. Also, if you remember back in middle school when you had to ask to use the bathroom, this is exactly that. The atmosphere is great to be honest, you work with people who are young, fun and excited to have their first real world job. But keep in mind, give it three months and your new friends will have moved on to real jobs, once they cant deal with this job anymore, and you will too. You may get sucked into staying because you've made good friends, but please do something better for yourself, you deserve to earn more than 35K. That's roughly poverty level in Boston. This company also ropes in their customers through slimy unethical motives, here's a free sample, but wait, we're going to charge you $85 if you don't call in 18 days. Therefore whether you are an inside sales rep (customer service - don't be fooled by the sales title because it's not) or an outbound sales rep you are dealing with a client base who already have a bad taste in their mouth because of how they have been treated and misled. Customers are furious, and you will be too when you sit there all day and are threatened with lawsuits by customers because you work for one of the most unethical place in Massachusetts. Outbound Rep you have the hours of 10-7, sounds ideal. It's not. You've been "promoted" from inside sales, so people aren't screaming at you anymore. You now work solely on the base salary which is roughly about $900 biweekly and if you aren't making the floor minimum each day, which is extremely hard when your customer base hates you, you don't get to take advantage of the only pro of this company, unlimited vacation. As well as being put on a 30 day plan, which is only an easier way to fire you, not to improve you as a rep. They expect so much from you, and leave you so stressed that even at home you are thinking about work, and how you will be reprimanded when you return. Again, they expect so much from you, but they don't give you the means necessary to generate revenue, so it's a lose lose situation. This company is rapidly losing employees because of the lack of ethics and morals within the business. It could do so well, however they need to revamp everything from the inside out. They hire management based on their lack of ethics, morals, empathy, etc so if you value any of those in a workplace this isn't the right fit for you. As a sales rep, you are treated like a child. Also, because of the atmosphere here, it resembles a high school much more. The gossip spreads like wildfire, and the management is the main offender. Your team leads sit at their desk and shop, buy flights, go on social media while you make the money to pay their rent. Keep that in mind when you think you are making the right choice and accepting the offer at NutraClick. You will never be compensated for the amount of effort you put into your day, because you are working for one of the slimiest companies out there. The management only cares about the money you make them, not how to develop you into a successful sales person. Finally, if you do accept the position and realize you had made a horrible choice and give them your notice, be prepared to be treated like trash. They will not give you the time of day, it's almost as if they shun you. They take an employees notice so personally that it's impossible to quit on a good note, and they will make your last two week so miserable. Don't make the same mistake so many of us do and accept the offer. I hope this post is helpful because the honesty is out on the table, when you are scrambling for a job, and they offer you this one because they will since their retention rate is the lowest out of so many companies and they are desperate for employment, DO NOT TAKE IT. Please look elsewhere, you will thank me later.

NutraClick Response

I’m really sorry to hear about your negative experiences. I want to briefly address a few of your concerns as we take this feedback very seriously. Most importantly, we always try to be mindful of our employees’ needs and do the best we can to accommodate schedules, especially for those traveling a distance. As in most sales jobs, this type of role is highly incentivized based on performance, with a large percentage of earning above the base salary (for some, well above!). Our customers are also a top priority, which is why it’s necessary to stick to the designated shift times to answer their calls. Our sales representatives play a pivotal role in helping us connect to the hundreds of thousands of consumers who have benefited from our products. I'm sorry this wasn't a rewarding role for you. However, I am glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere at NutraClick and hopefully are walking away with some great friends.

Pros

Company culture is great. Everyone is young, laid back, and friendly. For analysts, engineers, and developers, NutraClick is a great platform to learn technology for about two years. The perks are great, they include: fully stocked kitchen containing delicious healthy snacks, partially-subsidized gym membership, a full-time personal trainer to use as a consultant, a beautiful modern office, summer Fridays where you get out at noon every Friday during the Summer, no dress-code, and various other discounted amenities like Zipcar membership and T-passes. Plus the office is in a great location close to every line of the T.

Cons

The main perk that NutraClick prides itself on is it's "ROWE" policy, which is Results Only Work Environment and unfortunately it is not the case. NutraClick is very much a 9-6+ job no matter how hard they try to convince you otherwise (and they will.) They tend to false advertise the jobs to people. Also the salaries and bonuses are skimpy. They're very bad at paying industry standard but very good at convincing you what you're worth. The main business model – how NutraClick acquires customers – is the biggest con (pun intended.) They tend to false advertise their products to their customers but always towing the line on what they can legally say or do. Their business model is subscription based using advertorial online ads that basically target the uneducated and the elderly. Yes, their tactics are legal but they're not moral and shortly after hiring you'll realize why. And in most departments, upward mobility is limited or non-existent.
