Pros

honestly, none. i guess, free product? Taylor is sweet - they should give her control of the company.

Cons

please understand me when I say, this place is anyone with a soul's worst nightmare, and you should run in any other direction. the micromanagement, the lack of ownership by individual contributors and departments alike, the finger-pointing, the demeaning tone and heartlessness of leadership, the favouritism, the completely obvious off-coloured remarks and blatant line-toeing of 'less than classy' comments... I could go on and on. ownership (and FYI that includes the CFO, oops.. I mean COO) are unbelievably out of touch when it comes to anything remotely related to treating anyone with respect, and/or equity. they expect you to regularly work extra hours without so much as a 'well done', let alone any type of overtime pay or time off in lieu (honestly, dont even ask). If you're not working extra hours or overtime, they consider you to be doing less than what you're obligated to, you're worthless, and they will never pay you any attention when it comes time for merit increases. they very much expect you to give up any form of a personal life and commit 150% of yourself to this company. they have a completely misguided approach to compensation and promotions (typically speaking these are done as a reaction to someone else's resignation and are fear-based, as they are worried others will follow suit). there are so many people in roles they shouldn't be in (and don't deserve/warranty) at this company it's laughable. the team in the warehouse are actually treated less-than-human, in every way you can imagine. low pay, no benefits, no perks, no time off, no sick days.. whatever the bare minimum legal requirements are is good enough for the company. (this is when you start to catch on) the soul-sucking ways of this company will chew you up and very much spit you out on the other end an actual shell of yourself. they treat all departments differently, with favouritism going to anything marketing/sales/creative, leaving the operations, production, and (some of) finance to eat their crumbs. forget bringing up any concerns or issues in the workplace though.. you'll be spoken to in such a way by senior leadership (Jenny being the biggest culprit) you won't even believe it's possible. (i'll be praying for your mental health!) if you're expecting good company culture cause they project an imagine of a 'fun cosmetics brand' just... don't. they spew a bunch of nonsense about collaboration, and fairness, and manipulate you into thinking there's potential, and in the same breath say providing pizza parties and cake (but only sometimes, and only for certain people, because of course the other team get's sushi, duh) is what makes them a 'family', and 'separates them from the rest'. they will never consider you, your health, your needs, your growth potential, or anything else related to you as it's not in any way important to them. the money in their family's and BFF's pockets are the bottom line, and that is only trending downward. lastly, they moved their office/facility to Vaughan, so unless that's up your alley, have fun with that commute. you've been warned.
