Pros

Team is generally friendly as in most customer service environments. Flexible rotas

Cons

Minimum wage for a lot of work expected. Managers are awful especially in Bristol location - being verbally abusive to new hires and telling each one they won’t last long and are bad workers, but not providing any training whatsoever - only criticism when you don’t do things the Novotel way. Despite their ways actually being very unique compared to any other hospitality company - eg. Polishing cutlery with vinegar, having a unique POS tablet that they also don’t train you on. When I gave my two week notice they just didn’t schedule me for the two weeks causing me to lose out on half a month of pay when I had given notice so as to not screw them over. They have zero qualms screwing you over. Management will take out personal vendettas through the schedule and through making your life hard while you’re on shift with them. Not allowed to stop for a second to gather your thoughts must always be on the move or risk being shouted at. Management also don’t have the best handle on the English language. No opportunity for promotion or progression either.
