Pros

I joined the company not long after a previous CEO's short tenure ended. That period understandably created some uncertainty about the company's direction and likely contributed to some of the concerns mentioned in earlier reviews. Since then, the company has changed a lot under the current leadership team. The most outstanding aspect is the leadership team's ability to get things done, their deep industry knowledge, and their clear vision for where the company is headed. They know which opportunities are worth pursuing—and which ones aren't. When challenges come up, leaders are willing to jump in and help rather than just handing problems off to others. One thing I really appreciate is how the company has managed to grow quickly without the confusion and constant fire drills that often come with fast-growing organizations. Priorities are clear, decisions get made quickly, and teams stay focused on getting results. The company has also fully embraced AI and other modern tools, helping employees work more efficiently and have a bigger impact. It's definitely a great place to grow, impact and work with smart, talented people.

Cons

The sky is the limit, but that also means employees are expected to continuously learn, adapt, and perform at their best.

Pros

Novo provides the opportunity to grow from zero to success—it all depends on your drive and eagerness to excel in your professional life. Novo offers you a chance, but ultimately, it’s up to you to make the most of it. You’ll have the flexibility to pursue your passions, along with constant encouragement to learn and improve. The company provides a bunch of resources, from talented people to excellent locations and infrastructure. The compensation is competitive, and the benefits are outstanding.

Cons

I would say that sometimes people are so focused on doing what we things that they are doing that feedback is missed in the process. I could mention a few more cons, but I've already seen that some of them have been addressed or are in the process of being fixed. For example, issues like people feeling underpaid, sometimes lacking guidance, overspending on non-essential items, and prioritizing projects that do not align with the overall goals of the company.

Pros

It is no secret that Novo has had a challenging couple of years as reflected by the reviews here. That said, it's clear the new Co-CEOs and Executive Team are committed to and have implemented positive changes: to skill everyone for AI (I have been enabled to build things with AI here I couldn't at other organizations!), reward the right behaviors, be honest and transparent when they've made the wrong calls (and fix them) and investing meaningfully in people, infrastructure, and customer experience. Later this year the team will have an offsite to celebrate a profitability milestone. I'm proud of the time I've spent here.

Cons

Novo, like many organizations, can be political at times depending on which teams you work with and some stakeholders can be hesitant to embrace change in favor of what is known and predictable. As a financial technology company, we also move a little slower or more bureaucratically than other tech companies I have worked at, which is in part because of being in a regulated industry and a decade old company with tech debt.
