Pros

The key highlight for most employees in Novelship is the day they hand in their letter of resignation. Thankful that I made that decision and have moved on to some where my mental wellbeing is not being challenged on a daily basis and where an employee's contributions are celebrated. Not forgetting the friendly coworkers in Novelship that are below hod level such as the managers and executives who band together and pour in sweat and blood to build up and sustain the company while some directors & management team above, overpaid and clueless about what really needs to be done to improve the company, come up with fancy ideas that just don't work.

Cons

A simple search of Glassdoor and Facebook shows the reality of things that are happening within and outside Novelship and the reputation the bosses have built for themselves and the company. Its a miracle that investors are still keen to pour in money into this company. The company, specifically the bosses, do not see any value in contributions made by employees and do not hesitate to immediately fire those that get on their bad side. Having heard from colleagues past and present, the company could care less about pay and proper pay structure and rather screw the employees over at any given opportunity. The company often gives promises about increment and go silent after, pretending nothing was ever said. A common name that appears often in Novelship's glassdoor reviews, the coo Chris. He is still very much the same, openly loud & aggressive when he wants to or passively aggressive if he prefers a more subtle touch to the teams under him and demanding unrealistic results despite himself in actuality not knowing what needs to be done and what actually goes on outside of the company. He loves to pitch his great plan for individuals in his teams and how they can reach that goal of his but in actuality, nothing materialises. That's why teams that he manages or has managed see the highest number of people leaving, and will continue to see more in the near future. The silver lining in all this is that in the upcoming weeks and months, key individuals that have contributed tirelessly to the company and a number who have stuck around despite all that has happened, are finally making the decision to leave as competitors and companies in other industries see the value they can bring and are ready to properly compensate them. To those who are still in the company and unappreciated, lied to and being bullied, know that there are better places out there where you can have a proper career and your contribution are appreciated. Ask any of those that have left and they will readily agree.

Pros

remote, the only good thing is a remote job (I believe they set the environment as remote to cut the operational cost)

Cons

Micromanagement was a major challenge in the workplace culture. There was a strong focus on asking for improvements, but very little clear guidance or support provided to help employees develop. Compensation and workload also felt unbalanced — the salary gap between leadership and staff roles was very minimal despite having significantly different responsibilities and pressure levels.
