      Pros

      I think that the best reason for me to work at Novant is the insurance benefits and the PTO time.

      Cons

      I'm at work 10 hour days at a fast paced doctors' office. I get 1 hour for lunch, but no breaks in between. I think we need a float nurse so that we can get a 15 min. break in the morning and a 15 min. break in the afternoon. It is hard to stand on your feet all day with no break. At this rate, I will eventually burn out.

      Pros

      Good pay, benefits, time off, and they strive hard to make employees feel heard. Not afraid of change or doing something different. Definitely a lot of effort in turning feedback into action.

      Cons

      Corporate smothers the smaller offices. Way too big and everything is way too detailed to where nothing is easy to find or understand (policies change almost weekly). IT is outsourced and not helpful. Everything is cheap. Employees feel like pampered cattle. "Float" is only for bigger offices and isn't guaranteed. They will short staff you in a heart beat and tell you your burn out is "growing pains". Raises and bonuses are pathetic. Better compared to PHC, but when the CEO earns 6+ million every year and all we are given is $400 bonus and a 1% raise because we didn't reach impossible goals = not fair. 8-5 M-F is not ideal for healthcare. Bring back more Friday at noon hours.
