Pros

Great people at GPRC. People work hard for the students.

Cons

This organization has the most toxic culture I have ever worked for. There is a clear and distinct separation between leadership and staff, made worse by constant executive turnover and regularly changing priorities. Bullying, gaslighting, and unclear expectations are commonplace and exist in most areas of this organization. Instead of focusing on addressing critical morale issues, leadership focuses on sweeping problems under the rug, believing they are not directly responsible for the current environment. When employees leave GPRC they are thrown under the bus and their concerns rarely get dealt with. Working excessive hours is encouraged and celebrated by management. There are unwritten expectations that you check your emails and respond at all hours of the day, even while on vacation or in hospital. There is zero trust amongst employees, and everyone is in constant fear of losing their jobs. Employees do not feel valued or appreciated for the work they do, and when there is an issue, everyone points the finger at someone else. If you speak to HR about your concerns, that information will end up shared with other members of management. Many non-instructional staff do not live in Grande Prairie and have no intent on ever residing in Grande Prairie.

Pros

None to list. Nothing positive to say.

Cons

Too many to list. Especially with the executives who run the place.
