Pros

Provides decent healthcare for community. Provides employment opportunities for various disciplines.

Cons

Talent Acquisition sub par, too many cooks in kitchen, hiring process unorganized with conflicting follow up for internal transfers and new hires. Employee Relations sub par, department not functioning as typical large healthcare organization ER department should. EEO/AA discrimination exists at all campuses to high degree obstructing qualified applicants from being hired, current staff from chances at deserved promotions and/or transfers, and encouraging terminations for minorities while others receive no reprimand for the same or more serious mistakes or violations.

Pros

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.

Cons

None that I can think of right now
