Pros

I enjoy the staff I work with and the work isn't too terribly hard. 12 hour shifts go by pretty quickly.

Cons

Unfair patient care distribution based on acuity. Unsafe patient assignments based on patient-to-nurse ratio. The facility falsely presents itself to new hires; it looks like paradise based on what HR presents to prospective employees.

Pros

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
