      Pros

      You cant get fired unless you really screw up. And even if you do and you have a friend in mgmt this can be covered up. This is a bureaucracy; not a for profit so their extremely top heavy on middle and top mgmt. Here its not how good you are at your job but how political you are. Results don't matter or hard work if your not in the bosses pet your talent wont matter. Word.

      Cons

      Chocked full of people that are not certified or trained and have terrible followup.

      Pros

      -some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

      Cons

      -low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
