Pros

The frontline staff—including technicians, nurses, admissions, business development, counselors, and support teams—are exceptional. There is a strong, shared commitment to helping individuals access treatment and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. Employees consistently go above and beyond to ensure both prospective and current clients receive the care and attention they need. The dedication to patient well-being is evident across many departments.

Cons

The most significant challenges within the organization stem from leadership, communication, and overall operational direction. Interdepartmental conflict is not an isolated issue but appears to be a recurring consequence of poor communication, inconsistent decision-making, and a lack of alignment among leadership teams. This creates unnecessary friction between departments that are otherwise working toward the same goal. Staff turnover has reached a level that should be concerning to both employees and leadership. While some turnover is expected during periods of transition, the frequency of departures suggests deeper organizational issues that have not been adequately addressed. The loss of experienced staff places additional strain on those who remain and contributes to ongoing instability. There has also been a noticeable shift toward prioritizing census growth and revenue generation, often at the expense of staff capacity and operational readiness. Employees are frequently expected to accommodate increasing numbers of clients despite staffing shortages and limited resources. This approach can leave staff feeling overextended and raises legitimate concerns about the organization's ability to consistently provide the level of care clients deserve. Compensation and benefits do not appear to reflect the expectations, workload, or emotional demands placed on employees. Morale is further impacted by a lack of transparency and proactive communication from leadership, leaving staff to navigate uncertainty with limited information or support. The organization is fortunate to have highly dedicated frontline employees. However, many of the challenges facing the workplace are not the result of staff performance but rather systemic leadership and communication issues that continue to undermine employee satisfaction, retention, and operational effectiveness.

Pros

From my first screening interview, I cannot believe how welcoming each staff member I have come into contact with. Interviewing can be SUCH an arduous process these days, but NOT with Northpoint. I applied on a Sunday, was offered a phone interview Tuesday which I completed on Wednesday, my first virtual interview was Thursday, second on Friday, and I was offered the job on Monday, with a start date within two weeks! Each person I spoke with was so incredibly welcoming, you really become determined to join this incredible team throughout the interview process. I am about 7 years into my career, and I can confidently say this has been the best onboarding experience I have ever had. Even the people reaching out from HR have express personality and kindness, which is unheard of. For the Clinical Assessor role specifically, I already know that I have hit the jackpot with my supervisor. I've had roles where I have usually gone days without ever hearing from my supervisor, and in this role, my supervisor has reached out to me every single day, and also made sure to reach out before I began to make sure I had everything I needed. She is very much present with her team, which is no simple task with being in a different state from me. Though she is busy, as she has a much larger role than just being a supervisor, she is never too busy for questions or a check in call. Within my first week I had a full understanding of why she hired each member of her team, as we each bring a unique strength to the table. I may be very new to the company, but I know my experience is one I have yet to find elsewhere. Not to be cheesy but it feels like I have finally found my career home. If you see and open position that might suit you, apply! You will thank yourself at the end of your first day.

Cons

Not a single one for me.

Pros

This position has given me the opportunity to look forward to my work every day. I am surrounded by a motivated team, all going to great lengths to make a huge difference in someone's future. Everyone from the people at the front desk to the management and the leaders are driven by this mission. The expectations are high but they are also fair. The supervisors I have worked with are devoted to furthering my growth and providing support when I need it. I am grateful to have found a career here.

Cons

You are not micromanaged so it is important to be able to be independent and self-motivated.
