The culture needs some work - Team Lead Northern Inyo Hospital Employee Review

Pros

Bishop is a great place to live if you enjoy outdoor activities. There are many long time staff members who are amazing at their jobs, and working with them was a pleasure. The dedication to providing the best care possible in the face of many difficulties is laudable.

Cons

The culture has become adversarial, tense, and punitive. Many managers view employee input as an attack on their authority. Human error is treated as a cause for discipline instead of an opportunity to improve. This incentivizes dishonesty. Covering up errors makes it an unsafe environment for patients.

Pros

The “potential” schedule of 3-10 to 12 hour shifts, the co-workers and patients are great.

Cons

Increased patient load due to long-term financial mismanagement has created a stressful environment with unsafe practice, and poor patient care.
