Pros
Work-life balance was good, I was part of teams with highly distinguished people who went on to become the best in the fields, and it helped me learn quite a lot. There was usually enough time to learn and work on the best outcome instead of just rushing to production / delivery.
Cons
The personnel hired were better than the projects, and we're being underutilized. Brilliant people were being forced to work on projects that they didn't really want to.
