Pros

Base salary is competitive. Bosses are generally hundreds of miles away, so they stay out of your hair.

Cons

I was laid off near the start of the pandemic, verifiable by the fact that our division has two fewer people in it than the day I signed on. They fought my unemployment (as well as others), claiming a series of mistruths. At the time of my dismissal I was 20 days from my 401k becoming fully vested, costing me thousands. Also, because they concocted this malarkey when there was record unemployment, I didn’t get an appeal on it (which I won) until seven months later. Obviously I had to get a lesser job to fill the gap, so they arguably cost me thousands more in benefits. CEO Chris Meidt is fond of boasting that in their ever expanding empire that they’ve never laid off employees. There are many of us who would like a moment to counter.

Pros

The people on the teams can be great and peers are supportive when they can be. Sometimes there are happy hours.

Cons

Management is unorganized and has no clear expectations for their team. You can't meet or exceed any expectations because they have no idea what they are. They aren't able to face anything headon, pun intended, they just talk around it, or backpedal, or avoid getting to the root of problems. You won't even get a cost of living increase in your pay. Their raises are a slap in the face. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. Most of the calls we get are just people yelling, and then going about our day, while they take away working from home, don't pay us well, and contantly get judged by people who don't have a clue how to do our daytoday work. No one is able to keep up with their workload, and now everyone is leaving which is making that so much worse. They are burning us out so they can hire people at a lower pay.
