Pros

An individual who is driven and self motivated can learn about many different facets of design and engineering disciplines. Structural trussing design, sheet metal design, mechanical and architectural design are all part of what is expected from cleanroom designer. Use of AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, are the main programs that are used and encouraged. At times marketing material is requested, in which case, programs such as Showcase and Fusion are also explored. Development of intermediate/ high level parametric modeling skills are encouraged in order to increase speed and consistency of designs.

Cons

Due to the nature of the custom market conditions and previous top level sales growth approach, work load can be uneven for production designers which requires large amounts of OT in the clean room sector. Hopeful as new management is attempting to target more high profit segments in order to increase bottom line profitability and hopefully creating a more level work load.
