Pros

Highly value HSE and has a strong QMS. A lot of WFH freedom. Great cantina run by one person. Consistently hardworking Technicians and Engineers.

Cons

Too small to develop a career unless you want to keep the same job with a new title every few years. Seems to never have enough funding to stay afloat more than 6-12 months. It's difficult to maintain motivation when goals do not align with actuals and nothing is changing to catch-up.

Pros

Norsk Titanium is very well known to the area, and is greatly supported by the Plattsburgh community. You can work here, and feel as if you're really a part of something. Not only do you get a chance to learn, and work with a revolutionary technology, but you're also part of a company that's making significant contributions to a community that is very in need of it. Being that Norsk Titanium is a start up, there's also massive potential for growth. Every team within Norsk is expanding. Higher ups are also extremely supportive when it comes to professional and personal development. The company offers tuition reimbursement, and leadership is very open about encouraging employees to use it. In terms of people, everyone is incredibly kind, and open. There's lots of cross collaboration between teams, employees, etc. People are encouraged to learn more about the company, the technology, and to ask questions, share their own ideas. Other benefits: - Very generous PTO - Matching 401K - Company picnics, holiday parties, etc.

Cons

Working at a startup can be challenging. You have to be comfortable with a certain level of ambiguity at times, which can be an issue for some. Having a location in Norway also presents certain challenges, particularly in terms of time differences, cultural misunderstandings, etc. Since Norsk is a global company, communication can be an issue at times.

Thanks for your review! We agree that startups can be quite challenging--but the ability to leave a footprint can also be quite rewarding. We look forward to offering more development and training opportunities in the new year and hope this will foster the support you've spoken to.
