Pros
Flexible time, reasonable hours, pay is decent, hybrid work is possible, international colleagues.
Unless you need uninterrupted time for research, you actually have extra time on your hands to do your own thing.
Cons
Some crunch during grading, sub-par quality standards, no entrance exams, too many students per teacher (most are online and unresponsive). Pay is below average for skilled professions in Norway, yearly increases are below nominal inflation, research funds misteriously disappear. The location has miserable weather but you must live there despite hybrid work being an option. Budgetting is chaotic and purchases come too late. Management ignores all requests and complaints until you grow tired and drop the issue.
