Pros

After working 2-3 years in a very stressful environment living in a relatively small town in the Czech Republic you could potentially start earning a good salary with commissions, even if still low compared the number of hours worked Once a good training, now its level is consistently deteriorating due to both the fear of people leaving because of it and to the shortage of consultants since an alarming number of them is leaving the company every month

Cons

Very low commissions for the first couple of years. You are pushed to work regularly 12 hours everyday and to come to work even at the weekend, you'll live your life through the phone and you will be expected to make something like 80-100 calls and 4-5 hours or more on the phone everyday in a very stressful Orwellian environment where every action and call you make is monitored; this situation doesn't change progressing in your career, in fact it worsens... The company notoriously had have problems in presenting clearly the contract terms to graduates...making them have unrealistic expectations about salary, accommodation, time required to move from Pardubice office to another and even about the kind of contract offered... Crucially, the number of people leaving every month is higher than the number of new inexperienced people joining... All this clearly points to a negative future outlook for the company...

Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts. We like to hear what people think as we look to continuously improve. The training, which you mention was good, has gone from strength to strength and resulted in a decrease in time to promotion (averaged about 2.7 months in 2016) and the time it takes people to start making commission (six to nine months, but is dependent on personal effort). Most of our people do earn a good salary, though a lot earn a phenomenal salary due to our industry-unrivalled, uncapped commission scheme. Because this is based on commission, it really is down to personal effort. Basic salaries (salary without commission) are in line with average salaries in our various locations. The training academy and most of our people are now based in Prague. Following a staff survey that showed people would like to live and work in Prague given the choice, we have been expanding our office there. Our core working hours are 9am to 6pm though many people choose to work longer and/or put in a few hours on the weekend because they can see the results - more placements, higher commission and faster promotion. Our consultants do spend a lot of time on the phone but this is essentially the job - talking to clients and candidates, building relationships and then connecting the two sides. Calls and actions are monitored to a degree, as you mentioned, but this is not at all a policing tool, it is a training and development tool. Our Quality Assurance team, which undertakes this work, works hard to make sure all consultants are supported in their development. The team can help highlight developmental hurdles so consultants overcome them. This work has been instrumental in NonStop's growth in productivity - sales per head increased just over 30% last year. As well as an increased growth in productivity, our annual turnover, net fee income and headcount continues to increase.

Thanks for the positive feedback. As the new CEO I am doing what I can to improve things but I am not sure what I can do about the local cafe 🤔

Pros

What I appreciate the most is the wide scope of action & responsibilities: - Candidate mapping & contacting, - Market Building (building a network and understanding the areas drivers) - Prospect identification until client on-boarding for Perm and Consulting, - Contract Tailoring Management, - Marketing (adverts, internet search tactics, LinkedIn, other, ...) - CRM building and tailoring (quality of the data, number of data & data management), - Management & Business Training, - Process automation (Emails, Excel, Internet, LinkedIn,...), - Coaching and Support for management especially, - ...

Cons

What goes with autonomy is perhaps less process driven so one can feel overwhelmed but if the energy and drive is there all can be done in time even in a this challenging Sales environment.
