Pros

Relationships with peers are generally very good. Plenty of opportunities to bond through the rough circumstances you inevitably find yourselves working in. Fantastic resume builder if you can handle the cons. Put in your time and move on to somewhere you will enjoy working.

Cons

I sincerely hope that the following issues have been addressed. Niowave had a great deal of unrealized potential, but was handicapped by a lack of honest engagement between management and workers. Managers and executives had perfected the art of talking around a problem and could often direct conversations away from the real issues with vague corporate speak or buzzwords. Management did not stand up for their teams and not for lack of trying to make it look like they did. You will genuinely care about the company and believe in the cause for a time, but you come to realize that the feelings are not mutual.

Great culture & people, experiences you wouldn’t get elsewhere, easy to gain responsibilities

Cons

Startup so less pay than other places, but it is in a low cost of living area.

Pros

I have met some of the most talented people I have ever met here. Shame most of them leave for better places. You get to work on a variety of different things that are engaging and challenging. You can move up quick if you have the right skills and mentality

Cons

Upper management has no real plan. Most of your co-workers are jaded, egoistical, backstabbing or plain lazy. The good ones get forced out by the problem children so the company is left with the "I just need to get through the day" crowd and the problem causing egotists. Management enables this behavior. You either have too much work and no tools to do your job or nothing to do. Due to lack of planning you are expected to hit unrealistic deadlines. Even if you hit your deadlines, someone else fumbles the ball and we consistently miss. The facility is falling apart, no real HVAC. Niowave does things the hard way every time. Safety, quality and employee wellbeing come second (or not at all) to hitting milestones. Despite this we have missed every milestone in one way or another. Niowave doesn't care about their employees. They are content with the churn and burn strategy - take people for all they can and then kick em to the curb when they cant meet the unrealistic expectations. The company culture hasn't really hasn't changed from 2012-2015 reviews - they just learned to hide it better.
