Pros
- Work amongst other talented engineers. There's always something new to learn! There's a culture of helping each other succeed that I haven't seen in other companies. - Clear mission - unlike so many startups, Nightfall has a well-defined customer base and products to match. This allows the engineering org to satisfy core customer requirements and constantly deliver value. We aren't wasting our time building unnecessary features or searching for product-market fit. - We are given the freedom to suggest and implement improvements. Even junior engineers are encouraged to contribute towards large features/projects.
Cons
- Feature priorities change more often than I would like but, I understand that it is fairly common for companies of this stage. The product team has been growing and this issue is getting better now. - Very few people come into the office. Personally, I work best in a remote-first environment but, I understand that not everyone does. This can sometimes create a communication lag and trickle down to other issues.
