Pros
Work / life balance is regularly discussed and truly encouraged. The CEO is very inspiring, meets with the entire organization monthly and gives very thorough updates on how the company is doing. The company is always improving benefits and looking for ways to express their gratitude toward their employees. When I referred someone for an open role and they were hired I was direct messaged on slack by our CEO thanking me for my referral and expressing how much it meant to him that I would recommend our company to other people. When I first started people told me that it feels too good to be true but it is, and 2 years in I can confirm that this is absolutely the case. This is the first time in my life that I've had no desire to respond to recruiter messages on LinkedIn because I'm so satisfied in my role and on my team.
Cons
This isn't really a con, but something to be aware of is that this is still a start up vibe so things do change. This is something that I really enjoy, but if you're someone who doesn't like learning new systems or periods of discomfort when there's a learning curve, then it might not be the right environment for you. All of our changes have been positive - processes, systems, etc. But still something that some people may not enjoy and should consider.
